Inside: Turning thirty-four may not be a milestone birthday, but you can still have an epic celebration with these fun 34th birthday party ideas.
Whether you are excited to be another year older or are starting to be offended when you don’t get carded when ordering a drink, 34 is still something you should be celebrating. After all, you’re alive.
And that alone is something worth celebrating!
If you are having trouble settling on what to do for your party, then look no further. I have created a list of the 5 best birthday options for people celebrating their 34th year.
I’ve made sure to include things for both extroverts and introverts, while also making sure that every party is epic and amazing. You deserve at least that.
So take a look, and choose whichever one excites you most. Heck, if you like more than one then don’t even worry about choosing between them, choose both. At this stage in our life, we aren’t holding back on what we want. Take a look!
Go Out Clubbing
This one will depend on the kind of person you are. Are you an extrovert or an introvert? Regardless, push yourself to get off of that couch. Get your best friends together and have one of those classic nights on the town. Start out with a simple dinner with the people you most enjoy spending time with, then plan out a slew of clubs you want to try out.
34 is NOT old.
I repeat 34 is NOT old.
Though it may feel like it, remember that it is all in the way you choose to live. You’re still so young, you only have so many opportunities to go out there and dance your heart out. If you are someone who prefers a night it, then think of tonight as a night to go out of your comfort zone. That is what life is all about right?
Trying new things, even if they aren’t your cup of tea? How will you know unless you try it? You are never too old for new things. Plus nothing is better than a night out with your friends.
Go and make some memories!
This is for those of you who are a sucker for some good old-fashioned treat your self days. There is no better day to be pampered than the day that you entered the chat, aka were born onto this earth. As you get older, the importance of self-care grows and grows. I wish that we all could have learned it when we were younger.
Skip shop class and instead learned about the importance of taking care of yourself. To do the things that make you happy, and how big of a life change it can be. A spa day can be just one part of your birthday fun. Get together with your closest friends and indulge in a good soak, a massage, and a face mask(or two). I promise that by the end of it you will be feeling refreshed and renewed.
Completely ready to take on your new year. Because it is just that you know, a new year. Sure everyone likes to throw a New Years’ party for the collective, but when you think about it, the day you were born IS your new year.
So you should treat it as such: a new beginning. Be the you you’ve always wanted to be.
Hire a Life Coach
This one goes hand in hand with the idea above but on a much deeper level. If you are in need of some guidance in your life, and you’ve been considering a life coach for some time but have never taken the plunge, then this is your sign. Do it. You are worth it.
And there is no better time in your life to take that step than on your 34th birthday.
Birthdays in your 30s aren’t as celebrated as they should be. The 30s are the time in your life when you are finally getting clear on who you are. When you finally have enough experience to not walk through life ignorant and naive, but still have the energy and excitement that comes with being young.
Jennifer Garner said it right: 30, Flirty, & Thriving!
A life coach can help you shed the last few parts of yourself that need working on and can help steer you in the direction of a balanced, happy future. They are truly amazing, and you deserve it.
Out of Town Weekend
Going out of town is literally the best thing you can do for your 34th birthday.
A change in routine can make the day feel even more special, especially when you are surrounded by the people you love. Get together with them at least a month in advance and plan out where you want to go.
Are you thinking road trip, will you fly, or do you simply feel like renting a spot two towns over? All are perfect for this occasion. Once you all agree on a spot, then it’s on!
It’s time to party it up!
If you are leaning more towards a small celebration to not bring attention to the fact that you are getting older, that is okay too. But it should be said that 34 is still so young! But if you are more comfortable with a low-key party, then a movie night is the perfect idea for you. Get all of your closest friends together, and get ready for a night to remember.
Have everybody pick out a movie that makes them feel nostalgic for their childhood and take turns watching them. Make sure to have good snacks and even better cocktails. Movies are just a fun way to bring us closer to the people we love.
So a movie NIGHT is a perfect way to spend your birthday!
