Inside: Indoor Birthday Party Games – Fun for any space!
Planning a birthday is one of our favorite things to do for the people we love. Putting together their favorite cake, decorating a fun theme, and of course planning loads of fun. There is nothing better than a large group of guests playing fun and exciting games.
With the colder months, the easy outdoor birthday bashes are a little harder to plan. It’s easy to gather outdoor and play in the sun, but planning an indoor bash can be a little tougher. The biggest issue when it comes to planning an indoor party is space, being that most games require lots of space.
But lucky for you, we have come up with the perfect indoor birthday party games that you can play anywhere at any time!
Fun Indoor Birthday Party Games
Wink Assassin: Everybody sits in a circle. One person is nominated to be It and moves away from the circle while everyone else decides who the ‘murderer’ will be. ‘It’ is called back to stand in the circle. The ‘murderer’ winks at one person in the circle at a time (trying to do it without ‘It’ seeing). When someone has been winked at, they pretend to die dramatically! Once they guess, the murderer becomes the next ‘It’ and the game starts over.
Lip Sync Contest: Come up with a list of song, from old favorites to new hit! Let the teens draw a song and sing their heart out! This is such a fun party game for teenagers, a crowd favorite!
Dance Off: Let your hair down and have fun. I mean who doesn’t love a good dance-off, and with all these crazy dance trends this is a fun party game for teenagers!
Heads Up: I LOVE THIS GAME! I fell in love with it the second I first played it. Download the game on your phone or Ipad for fun with the teens anywhere you go!
Balloon Stomp: Each player will need an inflated balloon tie to a short piece of string and then tied around one ankle. On ‘go’ players attempt to stomp on (and pop) each of the other balloons, while trying to protect their own – no hands allowed. The last person with an inflated balloon tied to their ankle wins. This is one of my favorite DIY indoor birthday party games.
Indoor Birthday Party Games for Kids
Donut Challange: Grab a couple dozen donuts and some string and you have one FUN toddler birthday party game idea! I love this messy, sweet, and hilarious game!
Grape in Flour: You will need a plate, flour, a knife, and some grapes. Put one grape balanced on top of a mountain of flour. Each child has to take a turn to slice away chunks of flour without knocking the grape. The loser who knocks the grape ends up with their face pushed into flour!
Cover Your Assets: You literally Cover Your Assets so others can’t steal them from you. This game is fast-paced, competitive, and a little addictive.
Blokus: Stake your claim and protect your territory by fitting as many of your pieces on the board as possible while strategically blocking your opponents! This is a fun casual board game for couples to play on a nice relaxing evening at home!
Clue: Become a detective with Clue and travel from room to be the first one to uncover the murder mystery. I’m a sucker for this classic board game!
Scramble Twister Game: This game combines two fan favorites in one. The classic fun of Twister and the pensive challenge of Scrabble will get everyone moving in no time. Spell words on a giant mat filled with letters and watch your friends get tied up — literally!
Indoor Birthday Party Games for Adults
Don’t Say Yes: You’ve probably heard of those taboo word games before, but this one will be quite the challenge. Guests aren’t allowed to use the word, yes, or any variation of it. You can have them wear a sticker or a yarn necklace if they say the word during the party. It will be fun to see who’s the most “decorated” at the end of the night.
Movie ID: Players have to get their team to guess a movie title using a limited number of words before the other team can get their team to guess it! It’s kind of like the old school Name That Tune game show but with movies instead!
Great Minds Think Alike: Great Minds Think Alike is a game where you want to choose what you think everyone else will choose: the more people who get the same answer, the more points those people will kit.
Not SO Newlywed Game: The Not So Newlywed Game is the perfect way to entertain your friends at your next couples event. It can also be played at wedding showers and engagement parties.
Kiss, Marry, Kill: This game of Kiss Marry Kill is a less personal touch on the original game because you use fictional characters or celebrities for your choices.
Ice Cool: This is my NUMBER ONE, TOP favorite board game EVER! Trust me when I say this game is full of fun and a MUST HAVE!
The Voting Game: The Voting Game is a party game that uncovers the hilarious truth behind your friendships. Play again and again – Gameplay varies dramatically based on who you’re playing with.
Cards Against Humanity: If you don’t know about this game already, then you’re missing out! This is definitely an ADULT ONLY game but it is full of laughs!
