Whoa, where did the time go? You now have a teenager on your hands! The BIG 13th Birthday, what a special day. I look back at my 13th birthday and I am pretty sure I spent it with my two best friends making random dancing videos (which we did NOT have the talent for) and stayed up all night eating snacks and throwing back pop like it was our job.

Choosing the Perfect Party Games for 13-Year-Olds

Teenagers are both complicated but so much fun. They are becoming their own individual person, but still throwing around that attitude, it’s okay it will get better. So, you might be asking “What are some fun party games for 13-year-olds?” I mean, if you’re going to throw a teen party, it has to be cool! These Birthday party games for 13-year-olds are teen approved and guaranteed for lot’s of laughs and fun memories.

Birthday Party Games for 13-Year-Olds

Balloon Dare: Write out a dare for every guest at the party, and slip each one into a balloon before blowing it up and tying the knot. One at a time, the guests choose a balloon and pop it to find the dare. Your guests then have to do the dare, or suffer the consequences.

Winks: Have all the guests close their eyes, and choose one guest to be the murderer by tapping them on the shoulder. All the other guests are detectives. When everyone opens their eyes, the murderer must start ‘killing’ off the detectives by winking at them one by one. If a guest is winked at, they need to die – very dramatically – so everyone knows they have been killed.

Say if a guest thinks they can solve the mystery (i.e. who the murderer is), they can shout out their name. If they are right, they win the game, but if they are wrong, they have to die. Now, if the murderer manages to kill all the guests and get down to one last detective without being found out, the murderer wins.

Limbo: You’ll need a broomstick for a limbo pole and your favorite tunes for a classic game of Limbo! Players line up and take turns to dance under the limbo pole without knocking or touching it – if you touch it, you’re out. Players must lean backward, not forwards, as they pass under the pole. Once all the players are through, the pole is dropped about an inch and the players again must pass under the pole without touching it. The last player dancing is the winner.

Battle of the Oranges: This teen party game is simple but hilariously fun! Two opponents face off each holding a plastic mixing spoon with an orange in it. The object of the game is to knock your opponents orange out of their spoon without losing yours.

Marshmallow Toss: The object of the game is to get as many marshmallows into your partner’s mouth from across the room. Everyone pairs up and one person from each team is designated the tosser the other is the catcher. Each tosser gets a bag full of marshmallows (you can use mini marshmallows or regular size). Divide the tossers and catchers at least five feet apart. Have the tossers on one side and the catchers on the other. On the start of go, the tossers try to land as many marshmallows as they can into their partner’s mouth.

Dare and Dance: If you have a dance party, then this dance party game for 13-year-olds is the perfect game. Randomly call up people to collect a truth or dare card or a note from the bowl. They must now perform the dare or funny action in front of the rest of the people that are dancing. You can even set up a little center or side stage for this, using a sturdy table
